Contextual Semantic Matching

How UpStage helps producers review potential fit across talent profiles and project briefs.

UpStage Platform is built so non-union actors, creators, and performers without a built-in audience can be discovered on the strength of their reel and bio, and not their audience size.

What matching surfaces

For producers, matching brings together an overall fit signal with category, skills, role, experience, and location signals. These are cues to help review potential fit between a project brief and talent; they do not promise a particular result.

Language and cross-language matching

UpStage supports matching across its ten-language app set: English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Hindi, and Brazilian Portuguese. When a talent profile and project brief have a selected language in common, that same-language overlap is rewarded through an explicit language signal.

Different selected languages remain eligible for semantic matching through multilingual embeddings. A shared selected language is not required for cross-language semantic matching.

What matching does not do

Matching does not translate content, guarantee compatibility or a match, or create a booking. It is a discovery and review aid; producers and talent decide whether to continue a conversation and agree to work together.
